Networking Events
There are various types of networking events that make it possible for all chamber members to participate. Whether breakfast, lunch or evening timeframes work for you, we’ve got something for everyone. Some events are free of charge and are geared towards more informal networking. Other events are more structured, include a program or speaker and have a cost associated with them. All events are open to all chamber members and their guests.
Committees
One of the major volunteer opportunities with the chamber is to join a committee. We currently have nine active committees that are open to all chamber members. The committee activities range from government issues to event planning to community outreach. Monthly Luncheons
On the third Thursday of each month we invite our entire membership to attend the General Membership Luncheon. We have a featured presenter speak and sponsorship opportunities are available for each monthly luncheon. We also have our Women’s Networking Luncheon on the second Thursday of each month. This group meets each month to hear from a featured speaker on a pre-determined topic. This is a very fun and outgoing group for women (and the occasional men) who enjoy informal noontime networking. Partnerships
The Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce makes it a priority to branch out to other Minnesota chambers and also to other networking organizations. We co-host events with the Edina Chamber which are better-known as our E-Squared events. We also partner with other chambers in the southwest area of the Twin Cities. Outside of Chambers, we occasionally work with other networking groups to make events more productive and useful for our members. Chamber Members are also offered a discount to all Twin Cities Entrepreneurs events.
Advertising and Promotions—Member Rewards Program
The Chamber offers many advertising and promoting opportunities to all our members. We produce a monthly printed newsletter and also weekly e-mail blasts that go out to over 1,000 business representatives. Chamber members have the opportunity to place ads in either of these publications. We also offer event sponsorship to members—you have the ability to host events in the morning, afternoon or evening timeframes and we’ll do all the promotions for you! On a different note, we offer mailing labels to our chamber members which allow you to send your materials out to our entire membership. And of course, we offer our M2M Program which is chamber members offering discounts to other members. Fusion
Formerly known as the Emerging Leaders, Fusion is a unique opportunity for those members who are relatively new to the business world or their industry to collaborate. The group meets formally once each month and also holds social events every other month. This group is comprised of individuals from all different industries and the participants connect on many different issues in order to grow within their own business organization. Special Events
Each year the Chamber holds various special events. The Annual Gala is our biggest fundraiser of the year, held each autumn. With around 250 attendees, 20-30 sponsors, silent and live auctions and a raffle, this event is not to be missed! Another major event is the Annual Golf Tournament. Although the location varies—the large attendance, great golfing, networking and prizes all remain consistent! We also hold a much smaller 9-hole Women’s Golf Tournament. Our Everything Spring Home & Garden Expo is another major annual event. This event has over 100 vendors who offer free advice, products and information to our chamber members and community residents (over 1,400 attendees each year!).
